OAKLAND: Dog Adoption PupUp with X˙CORE, Ride, and Honor Barre!

Join us for a special PupUp with Oakland Animal Services! OAS will bring adoptable dogs (25 lbs and up) looking for forever homes.

These pups are ready to be adopted right at the event! Adoption fees are waived, and Oakland residents just have a $17 city license fee (handled later over the phone).

The shelter is overcrowded, and with winter coming, these dogs need homes now more than ever!

Bonus: Adopt a dog and get a FREE “Puppies and Pilates” tank! Not adopting? You can still support OAS by purchasing a tank, with proceeds going to the shelter

X˙CORE's Spring Challenge - East Bay and Marin

Spring is in the air, and it's the perfect time to shake up your fitness routine with our exciting Spring Challenge! From April 21st to April 27th, we're challenging you to push your limits and reach new heights with our Spring Challenge.

Add Your Springs Challenge (xBURN):

  1. Add an extra spring to your typical spring load to challenge yourself and build strength.

  2. Track your progress on your Add Your Spring card. Complete 5 tiles in 7 days. Note the move and number of springs used. Only one class (xBURN OR xCLIMB) counts per day.

  3. Complete the card and drop it in the jar by 4/28.

Climb into Spring Challenge (xCLIMB) (Oakland location only):

  1. Take 4 different xCLIMB instructors in 7 days.

  2. Keep track and record your xCLIMB Coach on your Climb into Spring card. One class per day. Only one class (xBURN OR xCLIMB) counts per day.

  3. Complete the card and drop it in the jar by 4/28.


At the end of the week, we will draw winners from each location - 3 from Marin, 3 from Emeryville, and 6 from Oakland (3/xBURN & 3/xCLIMB). Be sure to drop off your cards by Saturday, April 28th.

Challenge Details

  1. Commit. Buy and schedule your weigh-ins below.

  2. Weigh-in. Step onto KOTA’s state-of-the-art scale at x˙Piedmont or x˙Marin. Only 10 min required, includes consultation.

  3. Form healthy habits. Take Unlimited classes (up to 2 a day) for 6 weeks and commit to your new healthy habits!

  4. Weigh in again, get results. Step back onto KOTA’s scale to learn how your body has changed. 

Special Offer (Optional) Purchase the 6 WEEK $450 Unlimited membership. That's less than $15 per class if you take 30 classes. This pack also gives you priority scheduling to book classes two weeks in advance.

Why is this the most scientific challenge? We’re so glad you asked :)

As you have probably experienced yourself, your efforts both in physical training and also dietary changes are not always reflected in weight changes. And with a scale as your ownly tool to measure with, it can be very frustrating.  

Well hello, KOTA! We use a tool called InBody. It measures your bodies’ composition - your weight broken down - muscle, fat, and water primarily. Dog Adoption Pup-Up with X˙CORE, Ride, and Honor Barre!

Oakland Animal Services and some of their awesome adoptable dogs will be on Piedmont Ave. from 10 am to 12 pm on Saturday, July 15!! OAS will bring some adoptable pups to meet and be your new fitness buddy! You can also learn more about OAS, their foster program, volunteering, and upcoming events as well if you’re not ready to make a permanent commitment to a new furry family member. 

We’re partnering with out neighborhood fit fam, RIDE and Honor Barre to help give these dogs a loving home!

Oakland Animal Services is Oakland’s only “open admissions” shelter, which means they accept all of Oakland’s homeless, injured, orphaned, unwanted, lost, abandoned and mistreated animals, regardless of age, breed, temperament or medical condition. Last year, they took in almost 6500 animals total and are on track to take in even more this year. Help Oakland's animals-in-need and adopt a new bestie at the event!

Oakland: Pelvic Floor Workshop

How Pelvic Physical Therapy Can Help During Pregnancy and Postpartum!

Join Dr. Karah Charette, PT, DPT, RYT for this 90 minute workshop filled with information on anatomical changes to joints and soft tissue that can occur during pregnancy, why you should see a pelvic physical therapist during your pregnancy, and what can be done to be most effective in your postpartum recovery. Dr. Karah Charette has her doctorate in physical therapy from Columbia University and co-owns a practice in Oakland called Bodyful Physical Therapy and Wellness. Dr. Charette believes in the power of starting with education, learning more about your anatomy, and beginning to embody that knowledge. This workshop will provide an educational backbone as to what is normal during pregnancy and what to screen for that can be treated effectively when caught early in terms of musculoskeletal dysfunction. We will also experience some movement to connect with important muscle groups such as the deep core and pelvic floor muscles. Come prepared to be informed and empowered with care that should be a standard for all birthing people throughout the birthing process.

How to play

  • On Saturday, 1/7 - step onto KOTA’s state-of-the-art scale during your appointment time at x˙Piedmont. Only 10 min required, includes consultation.

  • Optional: Snap a polaroid and share your goal with us for the new year - beyond just the physical, why do you work out? Maybe it's to find patience, community, build strength, or make time for yourself. We want to hear about those goals too!

Step 3. Form your healthy habits.

  • Take Unlimited classes (up to 2 a day) for 6 weeks and commit to your new healthy habits!

Step 4. Get results.

  • On Saturday, 2/18 - step back onto KOTA’s scale to learn how your body has changed.

  • Check in on your wholistic goals we set with our polaroids, and reflect on how the first 6 weeks of the year have gone!
